About this work
Mechanical Torso applies Futurist principles of interpenetration — the idea that a figure's interior mechanics should be visible on its surface — to a procedural torso form.
The sculpture is generated by layering two systems: an outer shell driven by anatomical proportions, and an inner lattice driven by structural engineering logic. Where the two systems conflict, the geometry breaks open, exposing the internal structure. The result is a torso that appears simultaneously organic and engineered.
